Haven’t had much time for the garden… but, these projects are coming along:
Put 3′ walls all the way around the BoyShack. I’ll probably screen in the rest and make canvas covers for winter. Or maybe not. Don’t know. Must learn to plan better.
Also, got my greenhouse yesterday. It came in three relatively small boxes, each containing 750,000 parts, one molecule wide. Amazingly, I only mounted the walls backwards, and that was pretty easy to fix. The “glazing” is pretty lame 4mm twin wall polycarbonate. I’m already wondering if I can swap that out for real glass.
For what it’s worth, this is the Europa Manor Consort (seriously, that’s what it’s called). I got it from greenhouses.com on clearance for something shy of $2K including some shade cloth and a solar light. So far, they’ve been pretty good, though my first impression was they feel a little bit like one of those affiliate crazy e-commerce scams.
Every greenhouse site you go to practically is really these guys. That creeps me out.
Anyway, that said, they had a good price on it, shipped it free and quickly, and have been pretty responsive to my questions. So, I think they just have a marketing problem. Their operation seems to run pretty smoothly.
The greenhouse itself is actually pretty sturdy once it all gets bolted together. Should make my Spring starts more pleasant than doing them in the basement.

Turned out that some parts were missing in the original shipment, and so I contacted greenhouses.com about it. The next day, they said they ship out the missing parts via UPS and provided a tracking number. I
have to say, so far, they’ve been pretty pleasant to deal with. I know I shouldn’t be as happy as I am that someone just delivers what they say they will, but… sadly… I am.
