OK, I’m back in the club. You’ll notice a distinct green tinge to the wood that I ripped out of some old fences that the neighbors left. They were *really* into fences.
Note also that I decided to risk it with some windows (lined with 1/2″ hardware cloth). The back door is hinged, too, so that, in theory, I’ll be able to open the whole thing and clean it without having to construct something to my dimensions (i.e., over 6′ tall).

Very nice! You’re going to blow those poor chickens’ minds the first time you lift that top off while they’re in there. Will it be easy to shovel the chicken poop out? They do produce rather a lot of it.
