I’m thinking of starting a podcast. That’s a very strange thing as I’ve always wondered what the fascination was. Then, I installed the Subsonic jukebox (I’ve got a huge collection of CDs all ripped to MP3s).
It turns out that you can also add internet radio stations and PODCASTS to your subsonic installation. So, I looked around a bit and added my favorite radio stations and a few podcasts (e.g., Wiggly Wigglers and Geek.Farm.Life).
Good grief they’re entertaining. I’ve been going to sleep streaming these folks into my head… and the best part is the sound effects. Not only do you get to hear Richard’s informed opinion, but you also get to hear him walking around, talking to the Welsh guys, or hauling a fish into his boat.
So, I’m putting together some junk to get started. So far, my tests are terrible. But the good news is that it’s colder than the balls on a brass monkey outside, and so I’ve got some free time on my hands. A person can only bake so much bread.
Oh! On that note, I just received my “Original San Francisco Sourdough Culture” from Sourdoughs International. I’ll report in on how that little project goes.

Hi Urban Hayseed. Glad to hear that you have been listening to the Wiggly Podcast. You can see a couple of the fish that Richard caught on his South American trip on the Wiggly Blog at http://wigglywigglers.blogspot.com/2008/01/wiggly-podcast_14.html

Good luck with your own podcast.

At this risk of exposing myself as a complete sissy, I am going to come right out and say that I wet myself just looking at the pictures of those fish. It seems that the stuff of my nightmares swims in the rivers of Guyana.
And Richard went there to find THEM.
Smashing.
