Ah, yes, I can see that you are totally tapped into the 5-yr-old boy mind. Supeprvillains and super powers. My (almost all grown up) boys *still* think about these things constantly.

I planted about 12 row feet of each, and ended up with around 100 row feet of spuds in my (urban) backyard. And THEN the All Blues that I missed last year came up.

Anyway, there’s 8 varieties– 2 fingerling, blues, reds, yellows, you name it. I should really go retrieve the box from the neighbors to whom I bequeathed it when I couldn’t come up with another square foot to plant them. That’s got all the IDs in them since I neglected to tag the rows.

Thanks, the peas have been dang good. I did bush and pole. There is nothing cuter than sitting on the ground in the farm with my 1.5 year old eating peas. Every once in a while he says “Daddy? Pea?” and sticks one in my mouth. So cute… can’t breathe…

My Ameraucana showed up last as a replacement for one that I had to snuff because Murray McMurray Hatchery sent her with some encephalitis disease. So, Shirley got automatic bottom of the totem pole status from early on. Very excited to see egg #1 (zen clarity notwithstanding) from those feed-hogging poop factories.

Yes. My five year old is very, very smart. Like one of those supervillains. His super power is to come up with bad things to do that you NEVER would have thought of on your own. “Don’t pick any apples? OK, no problem.”

Err… the raspberries. Hm. Dunno. Not very many are ripe, to be fair. We did eat a handful of blueberries tonight from an “Earliblue” (I think) bush. That was glorious.
