Here’s one of those happy things that results from my spastic end-of-summer planting into any open spaces.  I recalled that I’d stuck a 6-pack of Romanesco Broccoli in the back… and today, I noticed a few of these sticking out:

Actually, it just contributes to my inability to completely clean up.  It’s a little bit like actually needing some stupid piece of hardware that you compulsively saved in the basement.  It’s random reinforcement.  I better not clean up the garden, there may be something nice lurking under all the rotting vegetation.
