The PNW Planting Calendar and My Lie

First, my lie. I said that I had come up with a patented, super creative way of making my mason bee blocks, but lo and behold: this Randy Person beat me to it. Yes, his name is Randy Person.

Now, take note that he has explicitly copyrighted the whole design.  You may contact him if you wish to apply the idea commercially.  Putting aside the fact that you can’t *actually* copyright an invention, he has now faux-legally locked up the massively royalties to which I felt that I was entitled.  Curses!

Second, I made this Pacific Northwest Planting Calendar, which I hereby copyright, except for the fact that I took a bunch of the information from other sources.  So… I guess… it’s kind of copyrighted a little bit.  I will sue the hell out of you.

On the other hand, I’m wide open to ideas for adding/moving/removing stuff.

Did I mention that I’d planted a few flats of seeds a few days ago?  Well, if I didn’t, I did.  Most everything, except the eggplant and shiso, has popped up.  I swear this year I’m going to try to pay attention to them better.  Typically, I take care of the tomatoes and eggplants and about half of the other stuff is left to dry out because I don’t have any room.  Not this year.  Nosireebob.

Lastly, probably, I pruned the living daylights out of my peach tree.  I also sprayed it with sulfur in hopes of keeping the brown rot spores from spreading.  The peach in front shows no signs.  The original one in back still had remnants of the attack the first season.  I tried to prune as much of that off as I could without making it look like Frankenpeach.

Post-last, another 15-20ft. chunk of the cypress fell on the yard.  Again, by the grace of the Lord, it landed on the path and didn’t smash anything.  Thanks, God.  Your attention to detail amazes me.  I should probably have that bad boy cut down, but I’m now too broke to pay for it.  Thankfully, it’s cutting itself down a piece at a time.  A few more months, and you’ll never know it was there.
