Common objections:
“But honey’s ALL NATURAL!” “You really ought to cut out ALL simple carbohydrates.” “So, you’ll drink alcohol, but you won’t eat sugar. Alcohol is made from sugar. God, I hate you.” [...]
Last night, I was writing until the wee hours, and I must have made a dozen failed trips to the kitchen for a snack. Now, obviously, my Trader Joe’s chocolate covered cranberries were out. Clearly, I could not eat Newman-Os. Let’s see… yogurt… no… honey-roasted peanuts… pita chips have to be safe (nope, right there… in the ingredients… “sugar”)… ok… how about… a bagel! Of course! A whole wheat bagel that says “No High Fructose Corn Syrup” on the bag in big letters! 100% Whole Wheat! NATURAL!
